Development of a high-tech innovation - the GSRAdvanced electromagnetic valve block

The companies Pulko ventili Ruše d.o.o. and Orodjarstvo Gorjak d.o.o. have been awarded a grant for the project entitled »Development of a high-tech innovation - the electromagnetic valve block GSRAadvanced manifold« in the call for proposals for research and development projects NOO, called by the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport.

Amount of grant

The total cost of the project is estimated at € 545,686.02, of which € 490,486.02 are eligible costs. A total of € 294,291.58 was granted to the two companies, of which € 197,856.03 to Pulko ventili Ruše d.o.o. and € 96,435.55 to Orodjarstvo Gorjak d.o.o..

Description and purpose of the operation

With the RRI project »Development of a high-tech innovation - the GSRAdvanced manifold solenoid valve block«, we are addressing a pressing and never fully solved challenge in the industry. The product will be a high-tech innovation that directly addresses a future market need in the development of service equipment within the automotive industry (electric vehicles) and will at the same time make a key contribution to climate change mitigation and environmental protection within the industry and a direct entry into the circular economy. The product will be made of recycled materials, will have an extended lifetime and will be 98 % recyclable. The added value of the development project will also be reflected in the key knowledge gained, which can be imputed to other industries.

Results of the operation

The operation will result in a high-tech innovation - the development of the GSRAdvanced manifold electromagnetic valve block.

The product will have a lower overall weight compared to competing or existing offerings, it will be made of a new material and it will solve the leakage challenge.

Objectives of the operation

The specific objectives of the operation are: development of a homogeneous product body in a new material, development of component connectivity, development of improved leak tightness, development of pressure resistance, development of an optimised connector layout, and production of intermediate prototypes and a final prototype. The project will also include activities on 3D model development, industrial design, casting system development and tool development, process development, zero batch production and product verification. Project management, financial and administrative management, project desimination and marketing activities will also be carried out with the aim of successful market penetration.

The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the Recovery and Resilience Facility. More information on the Mechanism can be found at: www.noo.gov.si
